The Gender Violence Project at ASU

About The GVP

A coalition of law students dedicated to preventing gender-based violence and supporting survivors.

Our Mission

The Gender Violence Project (GVP) is a coalition of law students at ASU's Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law dedicated to preventing gender-based violence and supporting survivors.

We seek to raise awareness, advocate for change, and provide resources to victims—both on our campus and in our community. Through education, outreach, and collaboration, we work to address the under-criminalization of gender-based violence and help survivors receive the justice they deserve.

Our Approach

Connect Survivors with Resources

We help connect survivors with resources and legal information to support their journey toward healing and justice.

Support Informed Decision-Making

We provide information to help survivors make informed decisions around reporting and legal options—on their own terms.

Advocate for Accountability

We advocate for greater accountability within systems and improved access to justice for survivors.

Promote Education & Prevention

We work to educate our community about gender-based violence and promote prevention strategies.
